Summary

  • Strictly necessary technologies run the site and protect our forms. They don’t need consent.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies are set in the EEA, UK and Switzerland only after you consent.
  • You can change your choice anytime via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include your browser’s local and session storage, and scripts that read details of your device. EU and UK rules require clear information and your consent before a site stores or reads information on your device, unless it is strictly necessary for a service you asked forSource 1Source 2.

The categories we use

  • Strictly necessary. Needed to deliver the site, remember your consent choice and protect our forms from bots. These don’t need consent.
  • Analytics. Help us understand how pages are used so we can improve them: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity.
  • Advertising. Used by Google AdSense to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. We don’t show ads yet; these cookies are set only once we do.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage is set to “denied” by default using Google Consent ModeSource 6. A small cookie banner asks whether you allow analytics cookies, with Accept and Reject buttons of equal size. Your choice is passed to Google Analytics through Consent Mode, and to Microsoft Clarity, which sets no cookies when consent is deniedSource 9. Clarity only loads after you accept, wherever you are.

When we start showing ads, Google’s own consent message will replace our banner, because Google requires a certified consent message for serving personalised ads in those regionsSource 7.

Outside those regions, analytics and advertising storage is allowed by default. You can still block or delete cookies in your browser, and turn off personalised ads in Google’s ad settingsSource 5.

To change your choice, select Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
